Antoinette  is a qualified Functional Medicine Practitioner

Antoinette first became interested in food and it’s nutritional impact in her teenage years. Following the loss of her Dad at 14 years old was devastating and led her to comfort eat and ultimately suffer with an eating disorder for nearly a decade that saw her weight fluctuate from a very slight 7 stone to a sizeable 13.5 stone!

Finally upon graduating from Trinity and at a rather big size 22, she decided to befriend food. So started her passionate journey towards understanding food and it’s effect not just on health but the person’s emotional, physical and mental wellbeing. She now easily maintains a normal weight and has been a comfortable size 10 for the past 20 years!

Today, having retrained as a Nutritional Therapist, a Health and Wellness Coach and Dietary Counsellor, and a qualified Functional Medicine Practitioner, Antoinette can now bring all this experience to you and help you on your journey to health and wellness, guiding you every step of the way. Call her now to start your journey to wellness and optimum health!

ANNA  DUNNE

Anna is a fully qualified nutritional therapist. She has a keen interest in helping adults and children to improve their health by making changes to their diet and lifestyle. She truly believes in the healing properties of nutritious food. She grew up in the family where food was always a big thing. Locally grown, fresh and seasonal. A healthy variety of food is what she can remember from her childhood and till this day she can’t find a tomato that tastes like the one her grandmother used to grow. To understand the importance of food and its impact on the body she decided to deepen her knowledge by studying nutritional therapy with the Institute of Health Sciences Ireland. Anna has worked with children for over decade and has a great connection with the little ones. She gratudated in Siociology and is a Montessory Teacher specialising in teaching visually impaired and blind children. As a mother of a young child she embraces her creative side in the kitchen, experimenting with variety of ingredients creating simple, quick family friendly nutritious meals and snacks. As with all of the practitioners at Happy Gut Clinic, Anna uses a Functional Medicine approach when working with clients. This means she treats body as whole and looks at all its systems as they are all interconnected, focusing on the root cause rather than on symptoms alone.
